i know of a few people who are on a rather high dose of methadone and they seem to be having luck with cymbalta...

Whats up VIC, I say your question regarding safe anti-depressants for use w/methadone, I ran several through the Drug interaction checker, and this is what came back,
1. CYMBALTA  YES INTERACTION AVOID
2. LEXAPRO     YES INTERACTION AVOID
3. WELLBUTN   YES INTERACTION AVOID
4. ZOLOFT         MILD INTERACTION SAFE TO USE
5. PAXIL             NO INTERACTION  SAFE TO USE

You can get this info by logging in on Drugs.com you will need to register. If I had to pick one I would go with paxil it appeared to be the most safe. But I would always ask a pharmacist if it is safe to use. I take Lexapro as it is for general anxiety disorder, Paxil has been out for years with little to no problems I know about. Everything all right, What about the suboxone, Is it covered,------Noah

WOW...i didnt know you could do that...does it tell you what the interactions are? sorry victoria, i just know what people on methadone that i know are taking...i will have to lead them to this drug interaction checker...

It will tell you any interaction they have in their data base which is up dated daily, I always use it. It can be a very valuable tool. After you log on save as a favorite so you can get access in seconds.
