Help Please

Question

My husband and I just moved his brother into our house about two weeks ago. Two days ago he admitted to us that he is addicted to Opana. He says he is only taking one pill every other day. He really wants to quit, (not sure to believe him or not), but has no inurance. This is his third day without any. What can we expect with him quitting cold turkey?

There is not much you can do if he doesn't want to stop. If he really wants to stop but is scared, tell him to join this site or go to one NA meeting. 
I really hope he wants to stop. Addiction ruins lives...it almost destroyed mine.

He used for about a year, moved to a remote town, and stopped.  He moved back here and has been on it again for about 6 months.He just told us tonight that it is much harder mentally, because he is close to where he buys it.

Not stupid at all .good question.In normal light such as a lit kitchen.They will be pinpointed if he is using.They will definitely be large if he is in withdrawal.How long did he say he has been using the opana?

I know this sounds stupid but when do you look at the pupils?  Daytime? Nightime?

Yes, NA is free and he will find lots of support there!  

The pupils are a dead give away!

Not sure at all, but he stole stuff from us to get money to buy.  We have taken his car and will not let him go anywhere but to work and back.  I dont believe he has any money.  I will check his puples.

Hi are you sure he is not still using?and one opana every other day is not too much.If he has very small pupils then he is still using.If he has larger pupils then he is not and my pupils got relly big when I quit using.

Hi!  If this is the third day, it won't get much worse.  If he's doing ok now, he will probably just have some mild WD.  Trouble sleeping.  Low energy.  Little anxious.  Nothing huge!

See if you can get him to go to NA.....
