Help me! When will I feel better? Vicroprofen addiction...

I have been taking vicroprofen 200mg for a couple of months now (I went to see a Doctor regarding migranes)  The most I took was the allowed prescription 4 tablets a day, of course I took whether I had pain or not.  I enjoyed the "high" of being numb and in my own world.  I stopped last month, but this past week my Father passed away and the only way I could deal with the pain of grief was to get those pills (the Doctor only gave me 1 week supply of 40 pills).  Now I'm done with my prescription, but feel awful!! My body aches so much I can barely walk.  I have fever every night with severe body/muscle aches, like I have the flu...how long does this go on for?  Someone please give me advise and encouragement.   Thank you in advance.  God Bless.

Just in case you don't know, vicoprofen has 200 mg of ibuprofen and 7.5 mg of hydrocodone bitartrate.  So, in other words its a vicodin-motrin combination.

Thank you for your kind words and very important information.  Yes, the 48 hour peak is over and I feel a lot better.  I've learned that no amount of feeling "high" can be worth the pain I experienced these last 3 days.  It really scared me and I will take your advice about informing any future Doctor visits I may have.  A gentleman named Peter also wrote and informed me that Vicroprofen has 7.5 mg of hydrocodone bitartrate and therefore it's a vicodin-motrin combination, very much a narcotic.

    I was addicted to opiates(pain pills) anything with Codiene I loved the high. I know how you feel. I had to go into treatment. It took 7 days to detox and they make it as comfortable as possible. When I was in the hospital I told them my whole body hurts and do you know that the pain medication actually goes into your bone marrow... That is why you hurt. I don't know where you are but I am going to give you the phone number to my hospital just call and tell them what is going on I know they can help you somehow [phone] you don't have to tell them who you are just ask questions. You are in my prayers I promise.. Tonoght when you go to sleep please know that someone out there cares..

That is the first Issue you must Address. DO YOU WANT TO QUIT?I have been taking 24 to 28 e.s. vikes for over Two years, I Know i wanted to stop, But the Buzz? What buzz I said to myself. Vicodin. the buzz off vikes wasn't that great. when i really looked at it, The Vicodin Buzz.... if i can lower my doses anyone can. yeah thats right i was up to 24 a day!!! now i hav'nt taken any in 4 days .... learn to step back. lower your doses !!! do it by your self, we all can, just be Tough !!!

I was addicted to oxycontins for 2 years and it got really bad.  When I first started I got up to anywhere from 300 to 500mg a day.  I would do them all day long.  I stayed high everyday, all day!  I loved them, and I loved being high and feeling numb.  They are really expensive if you buy them off the streets too. 20's are $15, 40's are $30, and 80s are $50.  That is crazy, but people pay it.  Alot of times I didn't buy any, a friend of mine got them from the doctor.  Almost everybody I know is addicted to oxycontin's.  The last year I cut way down to 100-150mg a day, then down to 40mg a day.  After that I quit and took Methadone and valuums, zanex's, clonopins, or even muscle relaxers to help me for about a week and they helped so much.  They help you sleep through the night and the Methadone help you get through the day.  When the sleeping pills wore off in the middle of the night I would always wake up tossing and turning and burning up and freezing.  I wouldn't be able to breathe, I would feel so uncomfortable.  I would have to take more sleeping pills and wake my boyfriend up and get him to massage my back real hard until they kicked in, because my back would ache so bad and the rest of my body too.  We got lucky, we quit together and we went through every thing together.  If it wasn't for him I don't know what I would have done.  I had quit once before, but I had to do it on my own and I was right back at it in no time.  I have never seen a pill as small as they are, so potent.  They're almost pure oxycodone.  80's are what they prescribe cancer patients and I was doing them like candy.  I never want to get addicted to them things again and I never will.  It's hard as hell, I know how you feel.  I'm behind anybody who puts in any effort to quit taking any drugs, because it's a *****, and it takes alot of willpower and strength.  No one is going to do it unless they really want to.  You may do it for a short time for someone else or because you want to covince some people you can, but you won't quit for long unless you really, truly want to in your heart and mind.

i started using percacet after a car crash. With in 6 months I was illegally purchasing 160mg of oxicottin a day. I snorted that every day and within another 6 months i was using 400mg a day. It got as bad as 800mg a day. recently i decided to quit cold turkey after using everyday for rufley 750 days. i expeirienced fevers,depresion,vomitting,insomnia,and mild seciors. it has been 35 days in and I'm wondering if I could pass a drug test or is it still in my blood and or narrow.  I now feel better but not myself. anyone trying to get of opiots you don't need doan physicaly I stoped vomiting and fever after 12 days.

I am taking 4 to 6 vicoprofen a day.  Haven't had any for 4 days.  Is depression, diarrhea, and stomach pains normal for withdrawl.  I have been takinhg this drug for 4 years, just because of the high and happy person I become.  Actually I like that person, better than I like the real me whoever that is.
