Wow, I think you are doing wonderful! I hope the energy keeps up for you for tomorrow! It is hit or miss with that, but your plan seems to be good to get there. Keep it up!!
Hi Debbie,
I decided on Wednesday night to only take a very small does and I got to 4pm without any major withdrawals, and didn't have any yesterday, so have been over 36 hrs since my last dose and I think this is it no more for me. I also started taking amitriptyline a small dose and it has taken away all the brain zaps. I could hardly get out of bed as I had no energy and any sore all over, but the physical pain I seem to stand just not the brain zaps. I'm currently having lunch at home relaxing and getting ready to go back to work, I've got a big afternoon and need all the strength I can gather to get me through until the weekend. A shower and some tiger balm the muscles and let hope I'll make it through till 6:30pm...
Hey melbourne
How are you doing down under? I hope and pray you are feeling ok.
Did you drop down again? Keep fighting the good fight.how many pills do you have left?
Hi Debbie,
Thanks for the words of encougment they help gt me through the day. I'm taking all kinds of supplements B12, calcium, and others.
I did some reading on what sups to take to try and ease the withdrawals...
your body is adjusting to the drop. you are experiencing normal withdrawal symptoms, the stress, depression and emotions are part of the detox. the pills have been supplying the endrophins, dopamine and serotonin that controls all of these things. continue with the exercising. are you taking any supplements? eating healthy, lots of fruits and veggies, complex carbs, protein. you are doing great on your taper. keep up the good work. congratulations on sticking to your taper.

Hi!! I think you're doing great! What a taper is designed to do is slowly reduce so that your body has time to adjust to the reduction before dropping again. You may be at a point where you are ready to stop, because the taper is now causing WDs that won't go away until you stop completely. When it's just dragging out the misery, it's time to stop. Do you feel ready? I'm not really experienced with brain zaps. If I had them during WD, I didn't know it. I don't guess I recognized what they were?? I stopped at 15 pills a day, so I was so miserable that I'm not sure what was what!!! I don't recommend that at ALL. Everyone is different, but I had no self control, so a taper was out of the question. Plus, I was DONE with them. I was so tired of it by that point that I didn't want another one EVER!
Could you speak with your doctor and maybe get some supportive meds like clonidine to help out with the final week of this? Clonidine is a BP med that is used in detox centers for WDs. It's safe and non habit forming and takes about 80 percent of the WDs away completely. There are also OTC meds available to help out. Have you read the Thomas Recipe? It has helpful info in it. The amino acid protocol has lots of great info too, as far as rebuilding what you have stripped from your body with the drug use.
You can do this!!! It's not easy but SO worth it! :)
