Help with Ambien CR

Twice this week I have overdosed on Ambien CR and almost died both times. I do not remember taking the pills either time. What would cause this to happen?

How many pills did you take after going back and counting the tablets? It's not uncommon for people who take ambien or Ambien Cr to not remember doing something. They fall asleep and don't know they're sleeping, so the end up taking more pills because they don't remember taking the 1st one and the cycle keeps on going.  I've heard horror stories of people racking up credit cards, diving and cooking while on Ambien.

I remember taking one Ambien when I went to bed and the next morning I was unconscience. I had to be rushed to the ER by ambulance. When I got home I counted the pills and I had taken 10 of them. I had also went on some manic fit and destroyed everything in my house. I am so freaked out!

I think that you should hand the Ambien over to someone who can keep them away from you after you take one tablet and get in bed, to prevent you from getting into them at night. If you don't have anyone there who can hold them for you, you might try leaving them in your car and only brining one into the house at night.

i can def. relate to the whole not remembering thing while on ambien. i was prescribed them for sleep issues, and apprently one night i took two of them and had sex w my friend while other guys were in the room sleeping. One of them said something to me the next day and i had no recollection of even being there, it was awful. You should def give the pills to someone u can trust who will ration them out to u responsibly, they are crazy dangerous!

I have burned myself amongst many stupid things that I did while on Ambien.  I spent several months addicted this **** that's easy to get from any doctor.  They almost force it on you if you mention sleep problems.  I noticed that this stuff made my life even worse as I took more and more as it sounds like you are doing.  I wouldn't remember it either.  The next day I would feel extremely anxious to the point where I couldn't wait to get home and take my pill "just a little early" b/c we all know that calming effect as it shuts you mind down.  I ended up losing my job after this went on a while and I became more and more not myself during the day (as well nights).  My wife and I laugh at some of the funny stuff I did in the middle he night like breaking bowls and calmly just grabbing another as I acted like a child who just waned a bowl of cereal.  Trust me- your life will improve when you quit this ****!  I'd be happy to discuss my time on these pills further if you would like.
