Help with Facility for Addiction

Can someone please help me find a facility to help me get off prescription medications.  I had two back surgeries over the last two years and now I am doing better, except with the medication addiction.  I have no desire to continue with the medications except I have physical withdrawl (withdrawal) and dependancy.  Please help, I am in Northern Virginia.

Great decision to ditch the Opiates now.  You are at a good place for help and encouragement Dean. Welcome to the forum.  Please share more of your story and read some of the other posts.  We hope you will stay and get and give help to others.  I was on Oxycontin for many years before finding this site and using the advice I found here to get clean. Many others have also.  I don't know about "in patient" treatment in Virginia but I would recommend you check out all of your options before deciding on that (or any) one.  As I am sure you have already discovered, Opiates take over your life -- it takes more and more of them to do less and less good -- until the need for them consumes every waking hour.  Many of us live with Chronic pain and have learned there is life after Opiates - even with pain.   Wish you all the best and hope you will share more of your own story.

if you have health insurance, then any place will take you
look in your local phone book under alcohol and ************** facilities

if you do not have insurance, call your local menatl health center and ask for a referal

if you do not find a suitable center, please send me a message, and i will make a call for you
