Help with methadone withdrawl(withdrawal)

I have been snorting methadone on and off for the past 3 months or so. At max i was taking 30mg a day. Today is my 6th day off of methadone and have been taking 5 to 7 10mg norcos to get thru the withdrawls. I am out of norcos now and have to cold turkey tomorrow. I am wondering if or when these withdrawls will get better. I have to work and take care of my 2year old and honestly dont even know how i am going to do this. I have had addiction problems for the last 12 years all to opiates and have quit ct heroin and oxycontin before but methadone withdrawls are horrible! My husband and family have no clue and so i have to try to hide this sickness/ withdrawls. God i dont know how i am going to do this! When will they get better? Thank you

Wow girlie, you are in trouble.  Sorry, but I am being completely honest.  I can hardly manage when I don't have my Norco's for a day.  I have a one year old and a supportive husband and family that knows I am trying to wean off of them.  I really feel for you and if you lived in my city I would totally help you out.  It is going to be about the hardest thing to do taking care of the babe and not showing your agony.  Methadone is no joke to detox from and can be dangerous.  If I were you I would go to the hospital and get some meds to help.  You will need Immodium for sure, something to help with the body pain, something to help you sleep (benadryl).  If you don't want to tell your family you should tell them you are deathly ill b/c sorry to say it but that is what you are going to be.  If I were you, I would go to the E.R. tonight and tell them the truth.  Like I said, the methadone w/d is scary.  You should read up on that.  Look at the Thomas recipe for detox.  It will require prescription drugs though.  What would your husband family do if you told them?  I am here for you and willing to be a support b/c I know how hard it is to have a child.  The w/d will get better but it will be awhile.  You really need some medical intervention babe.  3-5 days or more will be hell.... I am not trying to be negative, just honest.  You CAN do it so do not give up if you are serious.  Are you quitting b/c you have no more or b/c you want to?  Hot baths are heaven, swimming, hot tub.  Clonidine, valium... oh I feel for you.  Please feel free to reach out to me.  I am on the computer often.  Where do you live?  Hang in there.  Reach out, find a meeting, find a friend to confide in.  How could your husband not know?  I take at the most 15 Norco 10's a day, but usually less.  I am supposed to be taking 6 a day for chronic pain.  I am not even sure any more if I have real pain or if it is just the pills taking my tolerance for pain away.  I had a boyfriend die from Oxy OD so I don't do anything anymore that isn't prescribed.  Sometimes I take Suboxone when I am out of Norco.  They help take my mind off of everything.  No more wondering, no more counting pills, no more pain.  Is suboxone an option for you?  I kicked a cocaine habit cold turkey, but it really wasn't that bad.  I just know how hard it is with the baby; you can't just lie down and sleep it off.  You have to be up and happy.  Like I said fake sick and get someone to watch the baby so you can try and sleep it off.  The leg jerks are the worst at night.  The clonidine helps with that.  The E.R.  can help you with all of this like I said, but you have to be honest.  I am starting to ramble, but I just feel for you right now.  Please keep in touch.  I will say a prayer for you, even though I am not religious.

He is also going to take my 2yo to his moms house for me today so that i can be sick. Lastnight seemed like hell although i know i have been thru worse. I think i actually slept a total of 6hrs or so! The sweats and restless legs are horrible! I got up this am still feeling pretty sick but somehow managed to do the dishes and clean a bit. I am hoping and praying that can do this and for good this time!

HI and welcome to the forum...well on the bright side you havent been on methadone that long and your dose was small so your withdrawal shouldend be that awful
if you have been using narcos for a wile the methadone should be out of your system
so now all you have to do is withdrawal from the narcos...still not pleasant but not as bad as c/t form methadone you will probably be sick for a few days try hot baths for the aches and pains highlands makes some stuff for the ressless legs you can get it at wallmart your just going to have to tuff it out for a few days...you need to get into aftercare like N/A or a substance abuse conslor to help you stay clean once you get there you need to find the core reasons your using in the first place addiction is a illness and its nothing thats going to go away on its own its going to take some work on your part if you dont want to wind up right back where you are now so seek out some help it is critical its good you got some help with your little one use it to get clean now...good luck and God bless....Gnarly
