I am severely withdrawing from methadone and having severe panick attacks.I am unemployed and have no insurance.Is there anywhere in Indpls where I can go for inpatient treatment at no cost.
Please help.Been going thru this for three weeks and killing myself is my only option left .cant stand much more...

I agree if you are that bad go to er or call # lesa gave you If you feel you cannot take this anymore you need help and kiylen is right you cannot go on like you are!!!! You can go to any hospital and they cannot, by law, refuse to treat you because you do not have insurance.  Please, please, go get help.  They will take you inpatient and get you stabilized.  Having a few medical bills is nothing compared to taking your life.  And most hospitals will write off your bill if you are unemployed you just contact their billing office when you are stable and explain what was going on.  Whatever is going on, please get help right now.  Just pack a bag, call a friend and go.  I've had to do it before.  You don't have to worry about missing work, if you have a family and you want them to know, they will probably support you more than you expect.  Just please, once again, get somewhere safe because I have been there before and ended up in the hospital once time not for treatment, but very close to death.  It really would not have been worth it.  You are not in your right mind right now.  Your body has become so accustomed to that drug it looks at it as food, water, things you need to survive and your body literally thinks you're killing yourself without the drug.  The drug is evil and will do anything to make you get it or make you think you can't survive.  Go get help now.  You can't go on like you are, you know that.  Please, please keep in touch.

do you have someone you could call to be with you? methadone is the worst thing to wd from if your panic attacts are so severe that you want to kill yourself maybee you should go to the er and tell them whats going on if your unemployed im sure they can get some state help for your med bills and also help you thru wd at least then you wouldnt be by yourself please keep in touch so we know you are ok

You have made it 3 weeks into a methadone wd.. I have to hand it to you this is very difficult and can understand where your head is at.. If you feel as if you are suicidal definitely go to the ER or call the Hot Line at 1-800-784-2433 Panic attacks are a beast You can deal with them with exercise Hot Baths Valerian root is like a natural Valium it is inexpensive and may help.. You are 3 weeks in keep moving forward. others will be on that have experienced this and will be in a better position to help you. Do not give up you are so close to your freedom !! keep reading and posting it helps so much to talk it out with others that understand.. lesa

Hang in there it gets better. I had sever panic attacks for the first 6 weeks of my wd and still get them occasionally after 114 days. I was so depressed as well. It's part of the process. It will pass. Just be patient.

Sweetheart I dont know I am in Florida but I think you should go to the emergency room right now and tell them exactly what is going on.  The er docs are usually willing to help someone that is withdrawling because they are trying to better themselvs.  Hang in there sweetheart.  It will get better I promise. What is your situation?  How many mgs were you on?  How long have you been on methadone?  I am also on methadone and yes it is hell. We will all be here for you. I will pray for you.  If you can no longer handle the w/d and you feel death is the only option then please please please go to the er.  Please keep posting and let us know what is going on.
