Help

by Cpt100, Nov 09, 2009 03:03PM
I guess I posed my question the wrong way, I am sorry I am kind of new to this,I have epilepsy and bad withdrawals cause me to have seizures I started using heroin for about a year, Then I found out about suboxone. I have been on 16 milligrams a day for about 4 months and I go to meetings 3 times a week and Everything's going great except.....my family has hit a serious financial crisis and I can no longer afford the amount it costs to see the suboxone doctor. So I only have a few pills left and I don't want to have seizures.I have some vicoden will it help eaze the withdrawals? or will the suboxone block it from doing that? I have taken pills before but mainly my doc is heroin. I need my withdrawals to stay moderate, instead of severe because of the seizures.

nothing you can do with a few pils, you are going to have to involve your doctor, plaese accept the advise givin and talk to your doctor..we can not give you a taper off sub, not being mean, just real! the few vics are not going to do//be enough..you are going to w/d and with your past I do not feel comfortable givin advise on the sub..I will see that once you get off you need an aftercare program! just talk to your doctor and let us know what YOU TWO decide, at that point we can help more...we ARE here for you

I should clarify, I only I have a few subs left but I still have my whole vicdden 10's prescription as I am not really a pill taker. So I have about 120 vicoden, not just a few. I am not asking for a schedule or anything, I just want to know if they will help with the withdrawals or not.

I agree with leeisgettingclean about. PLEASE involve a doctor in this. The epilepsy is nothing to mess around with. My husband has  epilepsy and I know how sensitive he is to any drug, pot, alcohol use and withdrawl. Don't risk it. Ask for medical help with this. You have too much to lose.

No, they are not going to help. The sub will block them for days and if you at some point manage to alleviate symptoms with them you will still have withdrawal waiting for you and it might be worse after you have mixed the vic's and the sub's. Suboxone has a half life of 37 hours and a powerful affinity for opiate receptors. Please take Lee's advice and work this out with your doctor. Surely you can afford one more appointment with him to explain your situation and work out a plan with him that doesn't endanger you in the way that experimenting with the vicodins will.
