Hey Man,

You're not in this alone.  Some of the people on here only quit once.  But the real addicts like you an I have to do it over and over until we do it for good.  The important thing is that you keep on pushing. You can do it.  Have you tried NA meetings?  I found that when I quit drinking just going to meetings even though I'm as atheist as you can possibly be was really helpful.

My friend, I am on Day 12 and feeling a lot of what you are. JUST FOR TODAY. Good advise from NA and also my friends here. I kept trying to look a week or a month down the road while trying to deal with how bad I felt that minute or hour or day. God put all of us where we are for a reason, and if we can accept that, it will get easier. You are 5 days ahead of me, so I know I still have a ways to go, and am still going to deal with physical and mental parts for a while. I did realize, with some help from NA, that I have no control over yesterday or tomorrow. ONLY TODAY. Focus on why you are doing this, don't get down on you, reach out for help, and trust in God.
What has really helped me is reading and posting a lot. You can do This!!!
Stay strong. We are here with you!!! Always love.

Hey Dude good to see you found your way back  I wish it where on better terms....as you can see this is a progressive disease that only gets worst with time  for me each detox and recovery was always worst then the one b/4....the only way to stay clean long term is to work a program of recovery....for me N/A has been the majic bullet  and I recamend it to everyone  it not only helps me stay clean  I have lost the very desire to get high....no other progam can do that for you  time to step out of your comfort zone and get to a meeting.....the meetings are only a hour long and it will give you a safe place to share whats going on in your head with others that will understand  the support is what you need right now other wise the obsession and cunpulshin will drive you back to using again and again  as always we are here for you 17 days is a great start google a N/A meeting near you........Gnarly

Radiostar,

Hey buddy 17 days are great but you still have a ways to go, and go you will, right? You know already this is hard but doable. Just lock  your mind around it, and be determined my friend. It is hard to feel like death everyday  but that soon will turn around to feeling like happiness everyday. I here with you, except im  94 days clean today.  Has it been easy hell no, its still not, but im fighting the fight and you can do it to. Im old too so don't think im one of those young  peeps that blast back quickly, im not. anyhoo we are all here for support you will get a lot of that. Oh that feeling of going out of your mind, yep me to at 17 days out, just know it takes time to get thru this and you will if you want to.
Peace
chig

The words I don't like on here are "welcome back". A lot of us are 2, 3, 4 or more timers. 17 days s quite an accomplishment actually. What part of being sober is bothering u most? Cravings, any physical symptoms, pain?
