Help

I called the rehab center and I was told I wouldnt be able to see the Dr. until next week. Ive been 2 days without Hydrocodone now and I dont know if i can wait that long. Is there a place I can get the Subutex before then? Or should I just use until im able to start the detox program?

I have quit plenty of times over years. I never had w/d though because my use was never daily..matter of fact i would use it fri-sun and nothing rest of week and never alot. However as time went on on the rollercoaster i got truly hurt, tore a pec, dislocated a hip socket, broke some ribs, etc. So i got put on them alot but i still wouldnt take them daily or before 5 pm. My rule was never at work. Well then i met suboxone and it made me nice and high and felt great all the time...used it for a bout a month and started reading the horror stories, and theres alot more of those then success ones. The success ones are 80% people not off the damn drug. Go research it I wish i did :( So i taperd it very low and then got off only to be destroyed with a w/d i cant even put into words, the anxiety was truly unbearable. I went back to perc/vic/oc to taper instead and i had to stay on them for 30 days straight just to get through the suboxen ****. Well during those 30 days i too it daily and even at work to get through it and well i broke my rule and the punishment was always i wouldnt be allowed to ever touch them again and hae to c/t   I punished myself. I have always been able to take opiates with control. 10 years never more then fri-sun. So i relized that sometimes in life i may need these for real pain again and dont want to be addicted or on high dose when the time comes so i smartend up. Hope that helps

even tylenol is under a microscope..it often takes several attempts to be done..curious..how many attempts have you made so far. you are right about wanting to do it..that is obviously necessary. I am glad you are making such great progress. i felt the exact same way at 10 days.. I quit c/t on march 7 and the mental bs started..such as PAWS. Not fun..

So after reading how awful purnax's withdrawals were when he came off of sub what have you decided to do?

Sounds like your not ready to quit yet. Im telling you straight out subs will be ten times the hell to kick. But you seem like your always running back to drugs when something bites you in life. The dr may want to really take a look at that and treat you with anxiety, or anti depressants as well. Suboxone is under the microscope now and its soon going to be only a fast detox drug like it was intended. I been there and done it and it was the worst even after only a month at 2mg. You gotta want to be clean an free or you never will be. You need to figure out what in your life is making you need them. I wish you the best.

Crispy, it's great that you are going into a detox but outpatient sub could make things worse. I don't care what anyone says, I don't like to see sub or methadone used for hydrocodone addiction except maybe sub in extreme cases. These drugs, (sub too) can have a serious rebound withdrawl. Hydro can be kicked easier than heroin or oxy and why create more problems when your allmost halfway there? all the best

No I just didnt use. I thought I was free and clear I was so psyched I kicked the habit i quit smoking also at 2 month mark. That was hard as hell so i got a couple pills to help me through that and i think that was the mistake. I think that just brought back all the feelings and cravings. Either that or im just screwed in the head

this isnt the first time ive tried to quit. Ive went 2 1/2 months after using 6-8 10mg loritabs a day for 2 years. Then I went c/t and quit for the 2 months then started back about 4 months ago using 10-14  10mg loritabs or 5 perc30s a day. After this i dont have another recovery in me just another relapse. So trying to get all the help I can.

your 2 days clean...and clean from an easier drug to come off of compared to other opiates....by no means an easy task though. But why not ride it out for a few more, your so close? Day 4-5 things really start calming down physically. Maybe get that far and get something for sleep and maybe something for nerves. Good luck either way
