Heres the poem I told you guys I would write...let me know if you like it!!READ

Although times get rough, and roads get bumpy as hell.
Don't allow the devil to again cast his spell.
He tries to break us down into pieces, little by little we will fade.
And while we are being destroyed, he'll celebrate and parade.
So we've come here together, to make our own union of past mistakes.
We shall not dwell on the past nor pout; for this addiction we shall overtake.
As we come here to take our lives back; our emotions are going up and down like a roller coaster in an amusement park,
Right now the devil is angry; for we're finding our own way out of the dark!!!
So through these trials and tribulations, let us all bow our head and pray,
for the strength and inspiration, to keep moving strong and again see another clean day!!!
And for the ones who haven't overcome addiction fully, you are headed in the right path,
keep striving and holding onto faith, for God will help you succeed this task!!

I hope you guys like it!!! It's just something I thought up real quick!! This is the type of stuff I write to myself to help me hold myself together!!! Let me know if you's enjoy it, let me know if it's something that touches the heart...I was thinking about trying to write a poetry book, I don't know if I'm good enough though....some of my friends keep telling me to do it that I am, but it be nice to get opinions from others as well!!! Thanks for being who you guys are, your extrodinary and very inspirational people to me!!

Beautiful and great insight! You should enter some of the poetry contests or send some of your poems in to see if you can get them published. Warning: before you send anything in make sure you have it copyrighted. It doesn't cost much and I think you send to the Library of Congress to get it done.

You have talent with no doubt. Take advantage of it. Some of the best poetry is written on impulse. I can write a few good poems and when it hits me I can just shoot them out. However, sometimes I can't write at all. I just have to wait for that special mind set and mood.

Oh no problem!! It really helps me to write so I figured i'd share it with you guys!! Thanks alot guys!!! I have entered into this one poetry contest, and they wanted me to go to DC for a poetry convention but I had to pay money for it (money that I didn't have for real) I'm hoping that oppurtunity comes again so that I can try again!!! Well, nite time is here, i'm kind of tired, but i'll probaly post a couple more times before I go to bed LoL I always do that :)

Awesome job!! I too write poems. I entered one into a contest online and they published it into a book. I will have to post it for you all. I have quite a few written down but they are out in the garage right now, and I dont feel like going out in the cold tonight, but I will find them and post em to you.
