High liver count

High liver count

my liver count I was told today is 333 they told me it should be between 4 to 40, mine sounds very high to me. What should I be doing now? What does a high count like this mean? Iam in the middle of a detox so I won't be drinking anymore, is there anything else I can do to lower my count or is it not possible to lower such a high count. Does a count like this mean my liver is damaged and is it beyond repair?

r u speaking of liver enzymes?  and no...an acute problem can cause elevation and then resolve..drinking and tylenol are major culprits especially when combined...some people are just more prone than others to this type of thing..there are people who can abuse 10s of thousands of mg of tylenol and top it off with alcohol and their liver actually becomes like concrete/immune to the whole thing..anf then others show the signs of liver damage...i would keep a check on it and stop whatever i was doing to cause this...u r obviously not immune to liver problems,,does not mean ur enzymes will not come down tho...just means u need to be safe...have u talked to ur doctor?

No, I do not think your liver is damaged -  but you really should heed the wake up call and resolve whatever is causing you to abuse it.  It could get very serious ---  Wish you all the best.

bah, mine was over 600 in July after a massive go on the rum.  No worries, it will come down.  What exactly are you doing to have a count like that?  booze? acetaminophen (w/opiates)?

stay away from the alcohol and tylenol and have it rechecked in a few weeks .most likely its ok but definitely have it rechecked don't drive yourself crazy about it .I hear milk thistle works for your liver .

Yes please let this be a wake up call for you.. Your liver is a remarkable organ that is actully capable of healing its self of the abuse we heap upon it but there are limits and it is still vulnerable.. I have stage 2 liver disease I do not even watch the counts as they can not treat.. So count yourself lucky stop what you are doing get some counseling and live a healthy and happy life.. warmly lesa
