How do I decrease the amount of ultram to wean off?

Can anyone please tell me the exact way of weaning off of tramodol?  I currently take 6-9 pills a day. Should I go down by one each week an so on? I am scared to death of withdrawal and the risk of having a seizure.  Has anyone had a seizure while slowly tapering off them? I am so sorry I ever starting taking these pills.  Please give me some advice on the best way to taper down.

thanks so much

I'm in the same boat as you and have been weaning myself off this drug very slowly for months.  Get yourself a pill splitter if you don't already have one and start splitting one of your doses a day for a week or two.  I don't believe we can suggest to you anything exact and I am only suggesting what has worked for me and of course, talking to your doctor about a taper plan would be best, but if you don't have a doctor, just start splitting the pills and take it slow.

they are very dangerous, do you have a rx for them? or are you buying them? if you have a rx pscript call your doctor and tell him/her you want off these and you want to taper down off he will set up a schedule to get you off.
