How do I get off percocets?

Hi, I have been taking percocets for about 9 months. It started from back pain the doctor gave me 60 and then I started buying them illegally. I take about 6-8 pills a day everyday. I guess I'm addicted. I want to stop taking them!! I hate them and love them all at the same time. I have stopped taking them for about a week at a time a few time over the past 9 months and it was horrible! I felt sick sick sick. So I would start to take them again. Does anyone have any advice or info for me.. Please!

  Hi, I have been abusing pecocet for not quite a year, I have graduated to 30 mg percocet which I buy from the street. I wanna hear from anyone with a success story and how you did it!! I am going to try tapering ,anyone with any comments "factual only please" about this method, should I take some only    when I start feeling bad ? please anybody who has been there and won please let me know all the details!! I really wanna get the hell off these things!!

Cold turkey for me 226 days ago. It was a mad, horrible ride. I overcame it with the help of my wife and tenacity wrapped in determination. I did have a health scare that jump started me into ending this vicious cycle. Day 6 was the worst for me and was prescribed Lorazepam for 10 days. I only needed it for 2. Life has really been on the up and up since. Do yourself a favor and come here often and commit to yourself that your only option is to quit. No matter the path you use to succeed.

Tapering down is the best way, if you have self control. Or if someone close to you could hold on to your pills and control your usage slowly weening you off.

Have you tried to taper down.... take one less or one half less than day before...
