How do I stay safe?

First off, I am addicted to hydrocodone. I was prescibed them for over a couple months and never abused them. After I was taken off them was when I began to take them to get a "buzz". I hear they are dangerous because of the acetaminophen, which I assume is tylenol. I have blown a lot of money buying them off the street...alot of money. I found I can get tylenol 1's over the counter and very cheap. It has nowhere near the amount of codeine in the 10mg lortab I was taking. I think the tylenol 1's have 8mg of codeine and a 10mg lortab has 60mg of codeine. So I would take alot at once to try to get the same feeling as the lortab. I know the tylenols have a lot of acetaminophen and its dangerous to the liver. Is there anyway to separate the codeine from the tylenol in the tylenol 1's? If Im going to be addicted, I need to AT LEAST be safe about it. Please help!

I just do not want to hurt myself further...I do understand where you are coming from. Is the codeine in all these pain medicines what actually makes people addicted?

I am going to give some information in the hopes you turn your energies into arresting your addiction. Lortabs are Hydrocodone and not Codeine. I am going to paste a narcotics equilvalent calculator so you can convert your hyrdocdone dose into the equivalent codeine dose. So you can see for yourself! I hope you will see how hydrocone is far far stronger than codiene. 10 MG of hydrocone is the same as 400 MG of codeine. I hope you will give it up and not decide to use hydrocodone either. The tylenol as well at the equvalent dose easily far exceed any thing safe as your addiction progresses.  So 10 MG Lortab has the equivalent of 400 MG of codeine. It is incorrect information that 10 MG Lortab has 60 MG of Codiene. God Bless you! If you keep going you may die from your Liver or the from the Drugs or both. If you do not stop do what you can to keep the tylenol dose down and at some point you will figure out how to arrest your addiction!

Good morning just to correct one thing Lortab does not have codeine it uses hydrocodone like vics and others...
I read an interesting article at school about tylenol 1
the body converts very low doses of codeine into morphine and for pain is suppose to be much more effective.......
There is a lot of Acetaminophen in Tylenols so be careful when taking it......a lot of addicts get in trouble with high Acetaminophen levels not the narcotic so be careful.....
