I think bananas help with the restless leg symptoms of opiate w/d, I believe it has to do with the potassium. I could be wrong but Im pretty sure it has to do with the leg cramps/aches/tingling sensations that some people get. Theres also some otc medication called hylands restfull legs(something like that) that supposedly works to, during most of my detoxes I never really had too much problems with the restless leg stuff. The very first time I came off any opiates was from norco/percocet, I was taking about 100mgs/day, tapered down to about 20mgs and quit. I felt pretty bad for about a week but after that things got a lot better. Those first few days are tough to get through, but the real tough part comes trying to remain clean for the rest of your life. Anyways sorry for rambling on, Im pretty sure the bananas are for the restless legs. Hopefully someone else will come on and clarify for sure what they can help with. I wish you all the best with your detox, life is so much easier on the other side, take care.
