How long does it take for your energy to come back

Today is 7 days clean for me and I feel really good about that. I was taking 10 to 12 norco a day and decided it was time to get my life back. I haven't had any real withdrawl symptoms in 3 or 4 days now except not sleeping but I have no energy. When will it come back and what can I do to help it along. Around 3 in the afternoon I start counting down till its time to go lay in bed and watch tv. I have 3 kids and need to be able to do more.

In not taking any vitamins I probably should be though. My dr prescribed me something for sleep so at least I'm not up all night. I can live with having to take a sleeping pill at night over the other stuff any day. My mouth always seems really dry is that normal?

Hi there and congrats on 7days! For me the energy didnt really return until around day 15. I would have short spurts of energy then quicky lose it. Hang in there,,it will come back I promise. Somedays you really have to push for it. Keep up the great work!~Bkitty

Hi Ashley and congratulations on your week clean!  The energy thing takes awhile...we need to be patient with our bodies and our brains as they need to heal...Exercise is the single best way to get energy, work off anxiety, improve sleep and feel good about yourself...Start small and work your way up.  I can't remember if you're doing vitamins and supplements or not?  Let me know if you want a full list-I've been taking them since day one and they've really helped.  Whey protein shakes are also good...Help the body and brain heal.  I know it's frustrating and you just want to feel 'normal'...Just remember that it's been awhile and you need time to adjust.  Most of all-be kind to yourself and be proud that you've come this far...Keep it going-you are doing awesome...Lu
