How long does suboxone withdrawal after a safe detox from heroin?

Ok i just got out of a detox, i was there for 4 days because i was coming off of heroin (been shooting for about 6 months). Anyways, the detox place started me at 8mg, then 6mg, then 4mg, then 2mg the last day. I felt fine the day after when i had nothing, but i felt like i was withdrawing (not like a heroin withdrawal but i know it was withdraws) the second day. How long is this going to last? Thanks

My 19 yo daughter is detoxing off heroin as we speak.  She plans on moving back in with her boyfriend that she used with afterwards.  He told her that he would try and get off heroin too but continue to use other drugs.  Do you have any advice for her or me?  Thanks!

Are you still with the boyfriend? When I quit I used quite a bit more than that, but I started off using the same amount as you. Had you not quit your habbit would have gotten a lot bigger. Not to say that what you are going thru isn't bad. You up your dose because you no longer get the same effect. So, regardless your body is still craving that dope, and needle. I still have those dreams and I've been clean over 7 months. I also had a boyfriend who I used with everyday. Now looking back I see he was also part of the addiction. Crazy how many things I now associate with heroin. Spoons are a huge trigger for me. I also find myself walking around thinking everyone is high on it. It *****, but it does get easier. Your energy will come back. You should almost be over the cold sweats. You may find yourself getting pretty depressed once the physical stuff goes away. That's what I'm dealing with right now. I learned in treatment that it takes quite a while for your brain to naturally build your dopamine back up. Hang in there, and (just my opinion), but you should not contact the boyfriend. Also, if you pick back up--- you wont pick up from using like you did your first time. You'll pick up from where you left off or even worse. I don't know why that is, but I know first hand that's what happens. For me, if I picked up today, I know by the end of the week I'd be back up to 2-3 grams a day. So, I guess what I'm saying is please don't pick up:) So many people overdose because of that. Message me anytime!

Yea i start IOP on the 10/23 yea that was the soonest they could get me in there. Really the only feelings i'm getting are having absolutely no energy, motivation and cold sweats and cold chills. I wasn't a very heavy user maybe $30-$50 a day IV. Yea i keep having dope dreams, where i have the needle, the dope, the spoon, the lighter and my boyfriend with whom i shot with. and its like all those things above listed are like floating around my head and i can't get them. Also another one i had when i had the needle in my arm(vein) and i would shoot up but nothing would happen. Those are the most frustrating things to wake up to LoL... so yea i crave it, actually i am right now, but i go on probation 10/29 so i have to drop, so i HAVE to stay clean, cuz i dont wanna mess that up

I could be wrong, but it could still be the heroin detoxing from your body. The suboxone covered up those withdrawals, and now you aren't taking the suboxone. The reason why they probably did that was so you wouldn't get hooked on suboxone. The withdrawal from heroin does get better each day. You probably feel iritable, and can't get quite comfortable. Also that annoying heat feeling under in your skin. I say in about a week you will be feeling much more normal. When I was in detox from heroin they did the same for me. The suboxone wasn't a miracle drug for me. It basically took the edge off. It was quite sometime until I was sleeping normally, and stopped the horrible case of the sneezes. Hang in there... and keep posting. Do you have any futher plans for your recovery? I know for me I not only craved the drug, but also the needle. Are you going to after care or anything?
