How long for Oxycodone WD to completely cease?

How long for Oxycodone WD to completely cease?

I was prescribed Percocet 30 mg up to 4x daily for budgling disc among other issues; I got sick of being dependant on medication to survive and quit cold turkey 3 weeks ago, but took one of my percs when I was having a very painful day; this was New Years day.  I have literally had 1 30mg pill since before Christmas, but My pain feels worse than before I was prescribed them and I am till really lethargic.  I do not want any narcotic or benzo or any other DRUG!  Is this normal to have such severe pain still and to stilln be tired?  I'm a single mother, work full time and full time student; I can barely move some days and I can barely play with my 19 month old son sometimes and I feel guilty, but do not want to rush n take my script. Is th pain and lethargy due to WD, STILL or is it something else?  If it still is WD; when will it end? Thanks everyone

Hi and Welcome...

What you are experiencing is likely rebound pain and yes, very common for where you are at in your recovery.  CONGRATS on three weeks!  Have you tried Ibuprophen?  Tylenol?  Hot baths/heat?  Massage?  With the energy- you have to go out and work for it (exercise)  I know this is hard if you're in pain but your body needs to move to produce natural endorphins.  Question-why did you hang onto the percs?  If you want to be free from them you need to get rid of them and cancel prescriptions...You've come a long way and I know the pain is tough but it should get better as your body/brain heal....I know you have a lot on your plate, but try to schedule some 'me' time....Your recovery is important and you are worth it!  Take good care....Lu
