How much Robitussin

Trying to get over my addiction to roxy's. I've tapered down to lortab 10 every 4 hours to take away most of the symptoms, but I am now out of those and it's time to go cold turkey and I'm sick as a dog! I thought by the time I got down to only 10's I wouldn't have any problems but I was wrong. I read about Robitussin but nowhere does it tell me how much to take? I am trying to work at my desk job through this all and right now I feel like I would rather die than have to sit here and hold my own head up. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Can't tell you about the Robitussin but, many here work through the W/D's. If you can take a few days off it would make things a lot better......Maybe blame it on a bad summer cold,,,,flu.

hey man i too just came off roxys and it ***** but trust me after the 3rd day it gets better how many blues were u takeing?

We can't really say on here, but never go over the recommended dosage.  Take a dose, and see how you feel.  Good luck!  You can do it!

I have never heard of taking robitussin on here for w/ds. I HAVE heard of people abusing cough medecine so I wouldnt take it at all. You are so far just kind of swapping addictions here and if you truly want to get off just stop and deal with it. You will feel like HELL but it is temporary and within a week you will feel tremendously better physically. Part of the addiction is wanting to take the easier way out and feel better by popping a pill or taking something. There are times in life where you just have to "suck it up" and deal with some pain and misery. The other side once you get there is so worth it. Good luck.

I was snorting about 90mg a day just to feel normal with no buzz..... I know thats prob mild compared to some ppl's addiction to them but I was in bed for 3 days withdrawing and still didn't feel any better (until I found a lil bandaid of tabs to get me thru). I missed work for 2 days and had to find something to get me back on my feet so I didn't lose my job. I have heard the dextro (sp?) in cough medicine really helps the wd's but taking the dosage on the bottle didn't help at all. I have never been addicted to anything besides cigarettes until I came across these blues and its pure hell! Such a love-hate thing. I would never touch them again if I could go back. My body begs for them and my mind says NO! Kinda like the little angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other.... At least my mind is still on my side I suppose =)

Hi-  There's been some discussion about cough syrup with DXM and withdrawal. What I've read is that some doctors are using it for RLS with good luck. That's about it.

Keep posting here and be sure to get those fluids in!
