How much Tylenol Extra Strength can I take.?

57 hrs and counting. I hope I'm over the worst of it. Headache and nausea are actually less severe this morning and I slept for almost 4 hrs straight. Tylenol Extra Strength is helping with the back pain, but how much can I take before I destroy my liver? Anyone out there know about Tylenol?

I found advil the best for me with back pain, shoulder, because it also reduces swelling, which is the main reason why we experience the back pain. Inflamed swollen hitting nerves. To much advil is bad also.  I'm lucky I did'nt affect my liver. I won't mention how many I took a day. Not recommended. You could call the company and ask???? Or do a search on line.  Keep up the good work.

VOS,

You can (technically) take 8 per day (4 grams). However, ANY long-term use of Tylenol could potentially cause liver damage,so obviously you don't want to continually take 8 Tylenols a day.

Any more per day and you will be OD'ing.

www.drugs.com is a great site for looking up information on almost any prescription medication. The info is not always extensive, but generally gives a good overview.
