How quick of a detox can you do with suboxone?

I've been using heroin daily for the last month or two..i've gone cold turkey of oxy before..and it was tough. I have 3  8mg Suboxone. I cut my heroin use down to about $20 dollars a day over the last 2 weeks which is a pretty small amount.  I had to go out of town and i wanted to stop using H so I took these subs with me. I was told by the friend who gave them to me that i could start with 1/2 of one or 1 and taper it down each day over the next 4 days and i should be okay...is this possible? I can't find anything on that rapid of a taper..im starting to feel pretty bad  but i don't wanna start with the subs until im in full withdrawal and i know i can detox that quickly..or it it pointless to try and taper that quickly with subs? he said thats what they did for him in detox..4 days..can i do this???

i dont know too much about this..but my addiction docter was going to have me use suboxone for 6-9 days to get off just to make it more comfortable for me...i decided i didnt want to feel the wd's slowly and didnt take any and now im on day 5 without anything.....4 days is fine for a taper from everything i know, but if its safe to go cold turkey with heroin then you should think about it also...just to get it over with, but if you cant then taper with the suboxone, but be safe with it 8mg is ok for a first dose but dont go any higher unless its prescribed by a docter who knows your complete situation..
