How to alleviate symptoms of Paxil withdrawal in early preganancy

by Aisha O'Connor, Oct 10, 1999 12:00AM
My sister is 25 years old and in excellent health. Before her pregancy she was on 10 mgs Paxil/day. Her doctor took her off Paxil immediately after she found she was 3 weeks pregant. For the last week and a half she has had extreme nausea and dizziness, some vomiting, and agitation, among other withdrawal symptoms. In short, she is physically and mentally miserable. How can she alleviate her withdrawal symptoms safely within her 1st trimester until they subside naturally? She is not prone to severe clinical depression but more susceptible to situational depression.
