How to ween off 40mg of oxcy a day habit

I have been on them for 9 months every day. I started with 10 and now between 30-50 mg a day. I want off them bad and have got the stuff for thomas recipe minus the benzo's. I am wondering if the length and amount is really high? How can I ween I have 10 30's left? I know I have a problem. I am just scared of the withdrawls. SUB"S are out of the question. Please any help?  I am 33 265 6'2 guy...

I was taking a similiar dose (45mg) a day but for  4 years. It's against MH policy to give taper schedules. All I can tell you is what I did and that was taper in 7 days. You are on a rather (comparitively) speaking, low dose. By your stats, you are a young strong man. You have the Thomas Recipe...get some Gatorade..drink lots of fluids..and accept that you will not feel well for 5 days or so....bad flu. I tapered only because I have other health issues. Whichever way you do it, we are here to support you. This is 2/3 mental and 1/3 physical. Determination and a positive attitude will get you where you want to be...which is..not having a bottle of pills control your life. Welcome to the forum.   :)

Tapering will only delay they inevitable, with the lose dose you were on I would try to do C/T. At the dose you were taking you will go through w/d but they shouldn't be that severe (although everyone is different). Tapering takes alot of patience and self control it is a very difficult thing for and addict to do. With whatever way you choose I wish you great luck and I will pray for you. God Bless---Rick
