Physically its very hard to do but it is possible. My husband and i were taking aprox 180 mg a day pf oxycodone for the past year and even startes dping heroin when were were out of meds. Sickenening i know. Vicki pointed out several excellent ways to get ur joirney pf being clean from it. If u begin to get violent or really bad withdrawls from it, cause gettin off of subs is easier to do than getting off of oxys. Keep up posted
Hi there! You can surely do this and we'll help you along. It's a fairly low dose and you haven't been on it very long so just set your mind to it and stop!
If you want to taper, which works very nicely, dropping by small amounts over time is the best way, as your doctor suggested. I think tapering is a lot less unpleasant and does not shock your body as abruptly stopping the drug.
During the process, drink extra fluid, treat symptoms as they appear like muscle aches/twitching and diarrhea, and take hot baths with Epsom salt. Be sure to take your vitamins with extra B and magnesium/potassium.
