Hydrcodone

Been taking about 4-5 pills of 10/500 Hydrocodone since january..It started with knee surgery and I just got hooked on them. I was going through a break up at the same time and I liked how they make me feel happy so now I'm hooked..I want to get off because they are preventing muscle growth , at least I think, and I'm trying to hit the gym really hard..I know they lower testosterone so they must have some impact on muscle growth..What is the best way for me to get off.? should I stop cold turkey?

yes! excercise is key....on my worst days i would force myself to go for a walk....gym & running are out of question for me due to my injuries........i'd put on my ipod, get lost in the music and walk....the endorphins help relieve the w/d symptoms. i also bought a case of those little 8 oz bottles of water and put one down every hour to flush the garbage out of my system! good luck!

The best way to get off is to go cold turkey...You will probably have a couple to several days of cold/flu like symptoms. Going to the gym is one of the best things you could do.
Make  yourself eat and force the fluids. In the health pages there is an amino acid protocol and the Thomas recipe plus other good info check that out and read some of the posts here for more ideas.

Good luck!

I'm on day 10 of cold turkey  after a year of Percocet. Everyone is  different....if you are not prone to cheating than you can try ataper....but from what I've read, you'll still feel like garbage. Cold turkey is the quickest, but it can be bvrutal for a few days...I got through it with the help of the folks here....you can do it if you set your mind to it!
