Hydrocodone abuse

Hey everybody,I hope all who are dealing with the HORRIFIC symptoms of detox are standing firm and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.I just wanted to put a medical topic on this site that is a little different and hope it inspires you to continue to fight the good fight.I have a condition called Tourette Syndrome which I was diagnosed with at age 8.As an almost middle aged adult now the symptoms I had as a child and teen were pretty much hard to cope with.As i hit my 20's it was almost like the symptoms disappeared into thin air.To make a long story short, research has found that opiates(as in pain medication)help suppress symptoms of TS and help a patient feel "normal".I discussed that with my doctor and he prescribed me hydrocodone 5mg3x daily. After taking it for a year that level of dose was not very effective anymore so of course I upped the level of tablets I took daily. After 3 years of taking it my doses were reaching 30mg at once which made the prescription run out way early so I resorted to finding the medicine anyway I could to get me to next refill. As of now I am free of it and have been for a good time and I definantly know the agony a person goes through withdrawing from it.Everywhere now it seems like someone has a prescription for pain meds if they don't they are buying them off the street or somebody they know.I still have to battle TS symptoms and now without that feeling of "normalcy"which is of course being high.So many kind people on this site helping each other out with addiction I wish you the best. Also I was told by my physician that while detoxing taking diphenhydramine 25mg 2 or 3 times daily can really take that edge of a hard detox. It is whats used in over the counter sleep meds and can also be found in a PM form with acetaminophen and ibuprofen since sleep is a factor detoxing and the pain medicine in it will help but I recommend you ask your doctor before you try that due to other medications you take and your certain medical issues.Good luck to all of you!!

The only saving grace is that I drank some whiskey and I'm drunk....but I know that it's gonna ware off and I'm gonna be f**cked beyond belief.  It's so bad, I just want to kill myself....(figurivly)
I don't know what to do... Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
