How much have you been taking and for how long? Are you planning on tapering or going cold turkey?

I don't know why so many people think that they have to feel no pain while they withdraw and go through all kinds of medications and changes in medications in order to do so.  People don't die from opiate/narcotic withdrawal (includes codeine).  They just feel like horse hockey for awhile.  Even non-addict people who have bad accidents and end up in the hospital for weeks or months on regular heavy doses of morphine are simply taken off when it is time to end the medication taking.  The doc comes in and say, "well, its time to stop the morphine." And he does.  You feel like **** for several days and then it is all over with.

There are some things you can do to help the W/D's. Like many Hot baths, Tylenol pm at night. Check out the Thomas Recipe.Prepare yourself for some Mental Aspects. There is no easy way but you can do it. God Bless

man you said it well!! You are right, they just stop it..people have to understand that w/ds are part of it, we are in a time of comfort and people want a "miricle" and its not here people...w/ds are mandatory if we are to get clean

People just stop......very true...but a true adict has problems "just stopping"  a physical addict does not have the mental part that draws us back in for more punishment...it can stay in the back of ur brain for a lifetime...sumpin to take seriously and the recipe is often a positive attitude..a will/a strong will to stop...and aftercare....but exercise and the thomas reipe will help too

DOSE and LENGTH of use...as well as DOC are important factors to get an idea of what to expect as far as wds go..hydro was ur DOC....how much and how long?
