Hydrocodone withdrawel?

Been socially using hydrocodone and tramadol for years. Recently (several months) been taking pills at least four days/week. On the weekends I may take 40mg hydrocodone in a night with muscle relaxers, and Lyricas. Anyway I've been feeling pretty depressed and moody lately especially on days without drugs. I can't sleep without Ambien, Valerien or Melatonin.
My quality of life pretty much sucks. I've become very antisocial. Today is day 4 without drugs. I'm depressed, and have no energy. Took off work today. In fact haven't had any enthusiasm for work, and I'm sure it has been noticed.

Didn't think I was addicted. My boyfriend takes hydrocodone and morphine everyday for chronic pain. He doesn't think I have a problem. I think he is wrong. I want to feel joy for life again without resorting to drugs for that feeling.

Any suggestions would be great. Thanks for being here. Looks like a great forum.

Sounds like you have an addiction problem. I think you know that. What your experianceing is withdrawels, mild one, but withdrawels none the less. Your on day 4 and should be feeling better in a day or 2.  You are very lucky that you are doing this now. If you choose to do the drugs again, you won't get off so easy. So be smart and leave the pills in your past. It gets harder every time and your life will continually get worse. Hang in there, you're almost there.

Thank you for responding worried. I've been running to the bathroom a lot, and been having chills and sweating. Probably am going through some withdrawel. The depression is pretty bad though. Having a hard time getting motivated to do anything. I know taking a couple pills will make everything ok for now, but don't want to go there.

I'm going to check out the amino acid protocol. Thank you so much!
