Hydrocodone?

Hydrocodone?

I see lots of issues with Tramadol here, but has anyone experienced the same type of withdrawals with hydrocodone?  I took it for 3 years because I had three back surgeries during that time and when I came off of it I could not sleep for a week straight.  Kind of like an anxiety in my brain or almost a buzzing and could not relax then the sweats and flu like symptons.  I have been off of it for about 6 months and now the Dr  put me on Tramadol for more pain and he chose that because I told him of the issues I had coming off of hydrocodene.  Im taking 50mg three times a day.  How long can I take it without having the withdrawal symptons?  ALso has anyone experienced any kind of rash while taking it?  I dont know if this is coincidental or not but after 4 days of taking it I got a red rash like that is red and then scabs over when I scratch it.  Looks like flea bits and I do have an inside dog, but not sure if that is a rash from the Tramadol.

If you are having a reaction to the Tramadol, I would call your doctor and stop taking it immediately!

I have heard from many people on this site that Tramadol withdrawals are extremely difficult and I've almost wondered from their explanations of it if it's worse than the Hydroodone withdrawals.  I just went throug the withdrawals from Hydrocodone (Lortab) and I'm on Day 16 and so it wasn't fun and I can't imagine something worse than that.  Please be careful either way!

You could ask your doctor but I have fibromyalgia and chronic pain and take St. John's Wort (don't take if you are already taking a anti-depressant) and Magnesium.  It has taken my fibro pain away.  It actually works!  (Unless it's in my head - LOL!!!)

Anyway, please call your doctor right away about the rash!!!

Good luck!!!!

Never hear of that type of rash before from the tram...and at this point of my life I have w/d from about anything you come up with.  For me the tram for pain may as well be pez dispenser. In your case also i would say you need the Amiino's. Some help with depression while others help with anxiety. And some help with energy. And yes - there are some things that are harder to get off than the hydro - I quit a 3-400mg of hydro c/t......and I also quit a 40mg dose of methadone that was a lot worse than any hydro or even morphine that I have encountered. Just stick with it - and be careful. --- eagle

I've come off of oxy, fentanyl but never tramdol I agree with theeagle they might have been pez, they didn't do cr@p for me other than stave off w/d's a bit.  But from what I've read tramdol is a bear to get off.  Don't let them put you on fenanyl ethier!  That is pure he11 to get off of.

Its been about 9 days that I have been on Tramadol.  I dont think it has anything to do with the Tram I didnt take any today to see if the rash got better and it has not.  Has not changed so im thinking it might be something else.  Do you think if I take tram for 14 days I will have W/Ds?
