Ugh on day 2 of w/d 100-150 mg hydros.per day. I feel like I'm in hel! I've been back using for atleast 8 months when I found out mom is dying from cancer. I've forgotten alot. What to do for restlessness and sleep. And just in general to help not feel soooo horrible?

I have been working my way down from the opiates. My 2nd time on suboxone and I dread coming off it again. Now I am taking 15 Mgs of morphine when I start getting the shakes. I take about 45 Mgs of morphine to get thru the day in a cubical without killing someone. Anyone try this before? I have a hard time with the suboxone because of the long duration of withdrawal. But I am walking a fine line weening with morphine.  But I've felt like I've been in withdrawal pergatory. Not sure yet if the suboxone helped me or hurt me.

Please don't beat yourself up. You are here, still fighting, and are an incredibly strong soul to keep on with the fight. At day 2 you are already someone's hero who is reading your post and just trying to summon the courage to try.  I am only at day 11, but it is amazing how much better I feel than just a few days ago.  My thoughts are with you...you really can do this.

First off Let me just say I feel for you and our stories are eerily similar. I too found out 8 months ago my mom was dying of cancer and it caused a MAJOR relapse in me. I was taking about 160mg a day myself. Im so so sorry for what your going through!

Dont beat yourself up over this though. We addicts have a hard time dealing with emotions and when something this big hits up we just dont know how to handle it except reaching for our "crutch" The most important thing is that you are here now, looking for help and wanting to get off these things! It can be done and there are alot of wonderful people here who have been right where you are and they are now free and clear on the other side!

As far as the symptoms, For me what I did to help with them was started taking a multivitamin, a B-complex, Calcium, Vitamin C and L-tyrosine. For the first 3 days stomach issues were a problem so I took immodium which was a life saver! I didnt feel like eating but I made myself eat. Keeping your self nourished is important. Take lots of hot baths for the "skin crawling" and get up and FORCE yourself to walk! Even if for only 15 minutes at a time. The sooner you can get up out of bed and exercise, the better you will start to feel. As far as sleep, That is unfortunately something I am not dealing with very well myself but Alteril for alot of people have been really helpful so I would suggest that.

I am here for you to help in anyway you need. Support is key right now for you for alot of reasons. Keep posting with questions, updates and for support. Like I said, there are alot of amazing people here that have incredible insight!

big hugs!!

Teresa
