I DID IT!!

Thanks to you guys i turned down the 360 percs! Yahoo! Suboxone is still working great, tough to just take as directed since i do get a little good feeling. Thanksgiving will be tough but like you guys told me even if i took the percs (which i don't have anyway) they would not have worked. this is so hard but i am hoping the worst part is over and i don't w/d from sub when the doctor determines it is time to start tapering. does anyone have any experience with w/d from sub, will i crave percs again? how long, if at all, will those w/ds last?

Oh, I don't have a problem telling you that.  Stop it  !!!!  what's the point of using sub if your gonna abuse it.  Try not taking it for a few days and see how it's not working.  You, then may have a better appreciation for it, and take it correctly so you can get off the **** with as little w/d as possible.  Good luck

OMG Kim....I am speechless. Not really---

You wanted to get off the pills so you decided on the Sub program. Now you are abusing that? That breaks my heart.

I know what you are doing, and you need help. I am suggesting counseling. You need to deal with the addictive behavior, and that is what is going on. Also, it sounds like you are still running and hiding. Do you feel it is time to get to the issues that caused you to begin using in the first place?

I hope..and pray..that you get the help you need. It is great to talk here, but this goes beyond that. I was where you are at, and I know what it took for me. that is why I made the suggestion.

I can't explain why, it does make me feel good, not euphoric, but good. the extra makes me feel good longer. i know it is wrong, but like i said it has to be better than the percs?? i hope. i really am trying and am doing alot better than last week. last week i was taking it with vodka, bad idea. i am very serious about taking them and am well aware of what a gift i have been given by having the opportunity to find a doc to help me. i don't want to mess this up. maybe i need to hear you say that, i am not totally better, i am still an addict, but thanks for the reality check. tough love isn't easy to read, but your statement did have an impact on me.

Sorry we hi-jacked your post.  I think it is probably very importan to stick with the prescribed amount or you might just be replacing one for the other. If your getting high on them, thats probably not a good idea.  Keep trying.  Mary

Kim....

Why would you want to take an extra Sub? You won't get high from them. Are you serious about taking them?????

LMAO !   LOLOLOLOL    Avisg .....you can do this.....5 days of no baking and you will start to feel a little better.  You will need some support to fight the cravings though.. I recommend B/A . There are many other bakers there that can help you.  Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.    Mary

i know taking more sub that prescribed isn't good, but only an extra or two a day. it has to be better than 30-40 percs a day. at least i like to think so. maybe i am fooling myself.

If you begin to crave your DOC again, it is a mental craving. Not physical. That is over. This is the time you will need to decide if you need outside support to continue with your recovery and learn to stay clean.

Good Luck.
