I Have NO Willpoer.

I haven't had any T1's since yesterday afternoon.  I told myself that I'm not going to buy anymore, that I was going to stop taking them because I know they're doing damage, and I can feel it.
I was doing fine all last night and all morning today.  I went out a lunch and walked right into the pharmacy and bought another bottle of 200 T1's.  I did it without even thinking about it, like it was second-nature.  I haven't opened the bottle or broken the seal on it yet.  It's just sitting here on my desk right in front of me...

I need help, but I'm afraid to ask for it.  I want to just go and admit myself to a rehab clinic or something, but I don't want to have to tell my wife and family...

One thing that I had to do was to change all my patterns..Don't take that route when going to the store ,get up at a different time,if you take them with your morn coffee, drink tea. It really helps.I also found help through a 12 step program and then I found a lot of relief in sharing with others what I had thought was only MY problem.I actually found out a lot of recovering addicts think and feel the same as me. Holy smokes was that shocking. I wish you well anytime you have any questions I am here to help if I can All the best to you .

I understand that the pharmacist records the t1's, but does this record show on a persons health care?  I hope not because I bought alot of t1's, often from different pharmacy's within days and weeks of each other.  Are Dr.s and pharmacist aware of people buying t1's from other pharmacy's?

Yep you can buy alot over the counter in Canada....Its so sad you can even ask for T2 over the counter...providing you have a script for things like t 3 or 4s......at least I was able too...

I can identify though its not really my drug of choice I have been known to abuse the same kinda of medication......Its difficult....its finding a way that works for you...and just come here and share...alot of good ppl here...

What are you talking about?  No will power???  If that was me, half of the bottle would already be gone!
You are already acknowledging the problem and taking steps to get better.  That is where will power starts.  Tell someone in your life that you trust and that won't judge you.  (It might not be your wife right now.)  And then ask them to keep the pills for you.  That way you be panicking about not having any, but it might help to be accountable to someone that cares about you and won't judge you.  The guilt about the pills is sometimes worse than the addiction.

At least that works for me - sometimes!  You are doing great!

Acetaminophen - 300mg
Caffeine - 15mg
Codeine Phosphate - 8mg

I know I'm totally retarded so forgive me but I have never heard of anyone being addicted to T1. Is this a prescription/controlled substance?

Geez i can't imagine how hard it is when you can walk in somewhere and just buy em. This is gonna be hard. But tapering may be the way to go. You could explain the sit to your wife and have her hold them for you. She can give you your assigned pills until you are down to none. The other option is to get rid of them, return em' throw em in a gross dumpster somewhere. And just do it.. I also know its easier to say than it is to do. If I had a vicodin right now I would take it.

Well the point is you may not have noticed it when you bought it..but you see it now...so that is progress right?....I think so...and you did tell someone...youve told all of us...and everyone is around listening....

I wouldnt know what to do with the bottle...and Lord only knows what I would do if I could get my pills that easly perhaps the same thing...and it like second nature.....We have always been so used to doing them and getting them...Its just aobut being honest withyourself and quittign, which ever way you decide to do that....

It isnt about will power right now........Your used to using...and that is what you will go and do....but you caught yourself now.. and that is a start...its taking it from there.....
Dont be so hard on yourself.......it will get easier with time...but always remember there is a calm before the storm...
