Just want to fly yah a quick message.I think tapering off is a great idea as well,it's less harsh on your body and mind.Make sure that you stick to your guns though because that oh just an extra one today and I won't tomorrow doesn't work.Make a plan and stick it to your forehead if you need too,do whatever it takes to make it work for you. You'll be proud when you can honestly say you are free!!!
On the lighter side, glad that you made a point of the dog bite.I have a pitty and work with them everyday and they aren't the beasts people think they are.Thank you for saying that, because people associate dog bites by default it's a pitbull bite.In fact pitbulls hold the worlds records for several things one being the most lives saved, most decorated military dog and the list goes on.I had to say thanks for that and so do all the pitty's. :)
Fladdict is an Angel............unlike like Allstate.......You really are in good hands with her. Talk to her...........
Luv, ya, Steph !!!!!!
Nauty..............
Do you think it may help if you gave your pills to someone you trust to give to you and help with sticking to your taper plan? I had a hard time tapering when the pills were right in front of me
Having members phone numbers does help. I have stayed up nights with some people keeping them from taking the "plunge"
If you would like my number, send me a PM.
PS: to all members, please keep personal info off the main forum, and stick to PM or emails. You never know you may come across it on the public forum. Thanks.
You can pick a few people and give them your number, and get theirs through private messages, that way you have a calling support system.
but I like the idea of people being able to call each other.
I totally agree with Worried about the phone number!!
I have given my number to a few who asked...it has never been abused but I dont think posting it out here is a good idea...pm-ing numbers with people u have connected with is a great idea
tough with pain issues, I had a dog bite with 160 stitches, black and blue arm and broken elbow from the impact of the bite, and never took anything. I refused all meds except for Ibruprofren. This pain is something different, I picture it as a red animal that eats at me. Oh and the dog was a Doberman, NOT a Pit Bull.
YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!
Also, remember that long term use actually makes the pain worse. Read that list from friend99's post of reason to stay clean!!!!
I am tapering, and it is hard! Make sure you come up with a plan. Exactly how many you are going to take each day, the days you are going to drop and at what times of the day you are going to take them. I have dropped from a high of 40 and I am working my way to zero. Discipline and knowing what I am taking day to day have helped to make me successful.
but I was led here for a reason. Also, even at 15 or so a day, I had little pain, but was becomming depressed and sick feeling all of the time. I can tell my body is toxic from them. I will just take that ms contin ( I hate that stuff) I have NO desire for it, for the base pain, and get off of the percs, not to mention my script was 273.00 Crazy, I cant afford that!
You can do this!! Stick to the taper plan!!!
I will keep you in my thoughts.
Best of luck.
