I am as greasy as a meatball. And some other weird lingering issues.

Ok 3 weeks off of oxy tomorrow (woot woot!). Anyway here is what is going on.
My face, literally I have to wash it off like 10x a day. No joke. If I go like 2-3 hours my entire forehead, nose, and cheeks are shining like I am a sparkly vampire from twilight ( except much hotter :). <- that was for my wife, she reads all my posts. But yeah I have turned into a greaseball. I mean I am Greek and have always had an oily nature. Not achney or anything, just oily but never like this. It had always kept my skin very young looking but man now Oil is pouring out of my like crazy. And I'm no spring chicken. I So I have an upper cervical chiropractor now that is all natural and uses sound waves for adjustments and natural healing vitamins and he said my hormones are in overdrive. I can believe that because my sex drive is very very strong right now as well. I am jumping the wifes bones all day :). Which is good. But man my hormones are crazy. Anyone elSe go through the greasy sex crazed phase?
Also after I eat I almost go into a coma! I really crash. My new doc said my sugar was still not regulated. He is going to be recommending some supplements for me for this.
And also for my digestion, he said my enzymes and digestion is still off and is giving
Me something for thanes well. He said it could take up to 90 days for my body and brain to recover. He said it (oxy) shut down my system to a crawl and now all my organs and vital systems that regulate sugar, nerves, digestion, hormones and al functions are going haywire not being suppressed anymore so now they are in overdrive trying to find balance. It is INSANE whAt these pills do to our bodys. If you ever need a reason to get off just think about what it's doing to your system. I'm still not right after 3 weeks. It's going to be a long ride for me I believe but I am ready. And feeling a little better every day.
If anyone else had any weird lingering issues would love to hear them!

Yeah it  busted me up. Nerves have been shot for a few weeks. Just starting to get better. I can finally go out In public for a little and not feel like everyone is trying to get me lol. 2 nights ago went out and had a great dinner and did not feel like running out screaming half way through.

When I detoxed from percocets it was about 10 days before I was feeling pretty dam good. But with these oxy's it been like 22-23 days before starting tO feel good. The real real bad physical is always about I week. But with this oxy there have been some really bad lingering stuff. Just now after 22-23 days am I starting to feel a little normal. Still not perfect but lots better. That oxy is just evil man.

I've been meaning to ask and wanted to message you but my iPhone won't let me type in the message right.

What day did the bad wd go away? My worst wd are just feeling dead laying in bed. I know the energy doesn't come back but when do you actually feel ok enough to function? Or even get back to work? 60 hours was how far I made it last time.   Was awful.
Proud of you for making in. I hope I can sometime soon

Yeah Sara I walked into my (ex) work to get some things and two people stopped me, one asked if I had been tanning lol, and the other was like wow you really look good is that what working here is doing to us!  They didn't know about my issue of course but even after a week and a half I was noticeably getting back to my sexy self :). So yeah the color and everything comes back. With all this testosterone pumping through me I should get my aZz to the gym I would blow up in no time i bet. Actually that's probably a very good idea. I have not been exercising enough. Think I might do it.

Your Dr. was definitely right on target.  It often felt to me at first like I was an engine that hadn't been started in a long long time.  It was like all the feelings and sensations were returning all at once and it was startling.  Good in a lot of ways (wink) but definitely unsettling a little bit.  But its true it all evens out and still stays good (again, wink). lol

Glad you're recovering so well.  Continued success for you!!  :)

lol back2! You are funny :)  I too had the sneezes forever..still taking an antihistamine for that but have allergies too.  Maybe use witch hazel or seabreeze for your skin..that might dry it out. (haven't used that stuff in yrs. used to use it when I was a teen when my skin would be oily)

I like what your dr. said - "He said it (oxy) shut down my system to a crawl and now all my organs and vital systems that regulate sugar, nerves, digestion, hormones and al functions are going haywire not being suppressed anymore so now they are in overdrive trying to find balance."

That makes so much sense and just knowing this helps us to know that we really aren't going crazy, it is just our bodies reawakeing..lol  I hate p*lls.  I really hate what they do with a major passion now.

Anyhow, glad you are on the healing road.  Take care! lyn

I sneezed for well over a month and i was so happy when i could do it safely!!  Early in my wd's it was pretty ugly!!  My skin was very oily and i am no spring chicken either.  It does even out after awhile.  Having the appearance of an elephant, color and dry skin, it was nice to have my body back to working order again.  As for the sex drive?  Knock yourself out!!  Jump away!!            sara

Hey--  I don't remember how long you were on oxy but everything you describe sounds typical.  It seems skin is always affected in some way; it's the largest organ we have!

Your doctor sounds very nice and reassuring. It does take a bit of time for our bodies to equilibrate and heal; that's why we hear "90 meetings in 90 days". Our brains need at least 3 months to recover but that doesn't mean you won't continue to feel better and better everyday.

Still sneezing?  Whew!!

And I forgot, I still have the sneezes. They always come in two,s it seems. You would think after 3 weeks they would be gone.
