I am done just done. I need this so bad i have been so scaired to withdrawl from the methadone but i am at the point now i just dont care how bad it get's im going to do it.I want my life back it is making me physicaly sick to continue doing these pills whene i wan toff them so bad i have made up my mind and i am sticking to it no matter how bad it gets the kids will be fine and my hubby has promised to help out extra around the house. I have a question how long afer  i stop taking the methadone can i use a zanex if the wd's anxiety gets to bad? thx holly

You are going to be scared but it really is the best decision you are making. how much methadone are you stopping from? i went c/t of 65 mg..it is very very hard..but if you have someone at home to help you, you will make it..That was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life to date..I took xanax while on methadone and didn't have any problems but it did help when i was in w/ds..hopefully you are down off the methadone alot more than i was..I am here if you have any questions..You can do it and you will be so glad you did..I will have my 2 yrs off that poison on aug 1..

I just want to wish you the world as u r a strong person...xanax is not advised to take while using methadone..this i do know although many do take it, it can affect your breathing.....i would think when the methadone leaves your system and you feel strong wds it would be safe...methadone sticks around for a while but the bulk in your open blood stream will be minimal when wds set in...can u ask your doctor?...that would be safest
