Wow, that's a lot of medicine.  I'm not sure what your best bet is, but if it was me I'd try methadone.  No buzz from methadone, you just will not experience the w/d symptoms and you have a lot of medicine to w/d from.  1400 mg's day of ms contin, 32 mg/day dilaudid, 6 somas/day, 12mg/xanax day, I don't know how you are able to even get out of bed with all that in your system.  Does your doctor prescribe you that much?\

do you have Cerebral Palsey, you must have some pretty severe muscle spasms to take that much medication........

No offence jackpup but have take methadone and had brother on meth program and yes you can get high. Sounds like Ibkleen has the right idea having someone to help you taper. You are on alot of meds and you are gonna need alot of help. Try to find a doctor that might work along with you on a taper off program. Not the doctor that has prescribed all this, he is a nut case. The only time you should be prescribed that much is if you are terminally ill. I hope you have friends and family that will support you in this. You are in my prayers. Never give up.

do you have any drs in hawaii that can prescribe suboxone? to preven the w/d's and the cravings so you can get off all of that medication? just wondering ... if not, tapering is probably the best way for you to go ... why do you get all of this medication, if you don't mind me asking? or do you get them from diff dr's ... anyways, please let us know if you have any other questions .. there are plenty here that could help you w/a taper program if and when you are ready to start ... good luck to you!!! peace!

first of all i am prescribed all this from one doctor and in hawaii a doctor like him is a dime a dozen its so easy to get norcotics here its sickining but i got it cause i had about two neck surgerys where they fussed my neck and then i had seven ankle surgerys and one hip and three jaw surgerys and the last was the neck where i just couldnt stand the pain and now i am willing to try to do anything to get  off this stuff i even had trying to sell some of the meds so i can limit myself without a stash but that didnt help i just got more when i went dry i am moving to dalls fort worth in feb.and dont know how they deal with pill addicts there or even if the doctors are cool as in hawaii the doctors dont see that as being an addict they just cut you off if you ask for help and then its to the methadone clinic and that sucks cause thats only once a day and the dose is so strong i am not feeling like doing anything and the morphine has gotten me more depressed lately i am really ready to give up on everything i tried to overdose many times and the last one my heart stopped and they zapped my heart in the ambulance once too many i felt the last one and oh boy does that hurt and stll they saw no problem sending me home and to see my doctor the next day since i had ingested most of all my pills mind you i see this doctor twice a month for all the meds i mentioned i get 298 100 mg mscontins and i get 148 4 mg dilaudids and i also get 100 somas and about 80 xanax every two weeks so times everything by two for the month please help if anyone can guide me in the right direction for some serious help to call or reach out to i would appreciate it so much and thank you all for your input .

thanks again

thank you and i know i will need medical attention but unfortunatley in hawaii the damn doctors who get you hooked wont help you get off they just drop you like a bad habbit, and hawaii physicians doesnt recognize pill addiction being so out of control i know so many friends who sell their pills to buy others and so on and so forth but if a doctor was ever admit there is a problem that would mean our small community of doctors are messing people up , you know what i mean thanks for the prayers but i really think GOD himself could only help me at this point i have been taking this dose for so long that now i am even shooting up the dillaudids and found a way to shoot mscontins too just to no only get higher but when i wake up in the morning my body hurts so much that if ingest a pill i cant move for about an hour if i shoot it up i can move within the first 5 minutes after the shot.
Please if someone can help me to the right direction let me know i will even giveyou my number to call so we can talk i have just become a grandfather and want to clean up basically just so damn sick of this i am the addict yes but the doctors are the enablers he should have seen the doses are too high for so long after all i never see the doctor i just go to the office and wait ten minutes and then the nurse calls me to the back and i get my scripts and off i go for the last 6 years its been that way really screwed huh??
Please help and once again thanx for your prayers and input and no i am not terminal....lol not yet....

what is mscontin? It must be weak compared to hydrocodone, or weighed differently or somethin. I take only 60mg per day of that and I'm pretty loopy.   So whatever the comparison is, I think the main problem here is that you have a few different types of drugs...maybe work on stopping the soma first....etc. I dont know....taper one of them down, then quit....then work on another, etc. Thats about all I can think of....Medical help of course is the best. And God. Prayer helps, somehow. it does.
