I don't understand the mg's of suboxone?

by aneyla1124, Oct 03, 2008 05:10PM
I started Suboxone today (i have a tramadol addiction). The bottle says 8mg-2mg tablets r-b
Take one tablet twice daily.

So, what is the mg's i'm taking daily? Also this made me feel very drowsy/dizzy so I called my doctor and he told me to half one pill and swallow it instead on under the tonge.
So how many mg's would that be??
Sorry so confused on what to say about the mg's ... thanks

you took 16 mg that is way to high for a 300 mg tram problem .PLZ get off the sub as quick as you can most doctors don't prescribe sub to get off tram .the sub is SO much stronger if you don't get off the sub quick you will have a much bigger problem

8 mg sub
2mg  nalexsone

yup you can cut them and cutting them is a very good idea .try less tommrow ..
I would plan your self like a 21 day taper and taper all the way off the sub down to a crumb then off .you will be ok as long as you dont stay on it to long

The people I see here in wds from sub seem to be having a pretty hard time. But I don't think you are into hearing that.

Hope you read some sub withdrawal posts anyway.

If you are going from Tram to Sub you are really jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire ------ Whatever doctor told you to swallow Sub does not know what he is talking about.  Also the dose you are on is way too high -- should be much lower.   Please read the posts on this site from those who have taken Sub.  It is very powerful and you are probably creating a new addiction that will last a long time - when you finally realize what it is doing to you  - it will be very hard to WD from.  Wish you all the best ----- my advice is get off of it immediately and taper the Trams under a doctor's care --- preferably another doctor.  All the best.

I took Subs between surgeries for maintenance.  Whatever Doctor told you to SWALLOW a Sub must be HIGH him/herself or didn't take the certification class.  Subs are only used sublingually (dissolved under the tonge) because the absorption will not survive the "first pass" via saliva or stomach.  This is what I hate about Subs---so much MIS-information.

That is the dose my Doctor started me at but I quickly reduced it to 8 mgs per day and then down to 4.  I stayed on it for 5 months and stopped one week ago yesterday.  Subutex was a life saver for me as I was taking 20 to 25 ultrams per day.

I had no difficulties stopping the subutes just very tired.

Best of Luck to you.  I am sure you agree when I say what a horrible drug ultram is.....
