I have a question about WD and Zoloft

I am currently weaning myself off of Vicodin and Fentanyl.  I am down to 4 vics a day and I have been off the fentanyl for five days.  I just went down to 4 a day today.  It is a rough day but I am getting through.  I have read many emails and I see that depression is a big factor with coming off of the drugs and while being on them.  I am on 50mg of Zoloft to help me deal with the depression I have due to my pain.  Should I get off that as well?  Does Zoloft cause me to be more dependent or does it help?  I would love to be medicine free!  But, I am wondering if I should stay on it while I taper down and go through WD or should I get off Zoloft as well?  Thanks

i would not go off the zoloft right now why dont you wait until you wd off the two .See how you feel and then See if its till what you want to do .many have depression coming off of opiates so you might want to give yourself a little time :) BTW you are doing great keep it up.

I would suggest NOT getting off zoloft right now...in fact you may want to discuss increasing your dose with your doctor because you will experience depression after coming off of the narcs. I take zoloft (100mg) and I have been on them for years and have no intention of getting off of them. They help...and there is nothing wrong with being on an anti-depressant (my opinion). But no matter what you decide, I would not try to stop narcs and zoloft at the same time...it is too much change at one time. I hope this helps!
