Good luck to you. I did exactly what you are doing; I found that I was experiencing so much anxiety reading about others' struggles. It is not that I don't care - I just got myself so worked up and started expecting the worst. Fear is not what we need when we are starting this journey. On the other hand, the people here are wonderfully honest and helpful; they will be here when you need them.
It did help me to find one or two who seemed to have a similar situation and exchange private messages.
I wish you the best as you take these steps.
If you come back on let us know how your doing : )
Im 18 days now and i feel soooo much better than i did, so it actually does get better : )
Were Rootin for you : )
Good luck Lynn! See you on the other side:) Please don't be scared. I mean, detox can be uncomfortable but it does end & gets better. But being an active addict is way harder and will never end, and only get worse. You can & will beat this!
Take care of you first and foremost.
Do what you have to, but remember we are here if you need us! If you don't want to read the board...message any of us here and we will help. That way you don't have to read the board just the message! Good luck and take care!!!
