Husband has been taking 30mg restoril for almost 2 months.  I believe most of the problems he is suffering from are side effects of the restoril.  His doctor switched him to ambien cr without warning of withdrawal side effects...after a suicide attempt.  I thought he was going to go crazy...jerking; crying out; standing still clutching his chest with look of horror on his face.  This went on all day long.  We thought it was the change to ambien (only drug being used and only change).  The next morning I looked up ambien symptoms and found a couple of things.  The angel on my shoulder told me to look up restoril withdrawals and I found the real problem.  I tried giving him only 2/3 of a dose after missing two days and the day was miserable.  The doctor suggested dropping him to 7.5mg and I told him that wasn't possible.  Can you help?  Diana
