the aminos in the thomas recipe are in foods we eat every day..especially proteins....so if u eat alot of meat, cheese, beans etc u r getting alot..but when we abuse our brains we need more to heal...lexapro is a serotonin uptake inhibitor so u would want to take the 5htp at 100 mgs a day or less for a bit to see how it affects u...again..if u ate a big steak or a turky dinner u would get more than tis...but to be safe start out at 100 ms of that particular amino at first then go up if needed...the rest in the thomas recipe do not directly affect seratonin so they r ok at the dose recommened..good luck...and u need the full doses....read and stock up

this is just my personal opinion, but it sounds like you are taking an awful lot of meds for your WDs. i know for myself that the benzos (clonopin, valium, etc.) make me feel worse, less energy and focus and more depressed. and the lexapro, have you just started on that this week? if so, you are probably experiencing some side effects from that as well. how can you tell what you "normally" feel at this point if your body is trying to adapt to all of these other meds? your body is trying to detox from drugs, so i would use ALL drugs sparingly.

you listened and followed the detox procedure very well..all the drugs used i have used in detox and have used for that same reaosn as well...the wd' should last till thursday at the latest, the worst will be today and this weekend and then will let up..try and ration your detox meds even tho you think you may feel like it cant get worse this weekend it will, beleive me, no matter how bad the wd's get dont give stay strong, come on this forum well help you, i know it doesnt cure wd's, but it helps..youve come almost half way stick through and youll get to enjoy life again
congrats to you yes you can do the thomas reciepe and amino acid protocol belive me the amino acids are god sends,i have taken many antidepressants in my life time and none worked as well as 5htp i noticed a difference in as little as a couple hours i swear please try it you will be amazed keep up the good fight,

i started the recipe last friday. my drug use was similar to yours except for the tapering and skipping days. things like that never stayed in my head for more than a minute. i have good news for you. if this is what you really want, the recipe is awesome, at least for me. i feel almost like a normal citizen and not just someone pretending to be one while my mind was racing around my pill supply. i am 46 y/o woman with all the fun that comes with that. if this can work for me, you can do it too!! want it! i still feel kinda crappy but just around the edges. sleep is getting better. you can do this. good luck! blessed be. sway
congrats for making this big step...i would think by monday you should be over the worst part of wds. just hang in there...it s so worth it to get your life back. i too was a heavy perc usuer. i was more scared of the wds than the actual wds themselves, if that makes sense. the mental part hangs on for a bit but does go away. this is an everyday battle and i won t lie and say it s easy but to be able to get through the day without pills is a blessing for me. you can do it..fight it everyday my friend. good luck on getting your life back...maria
Yes, you can take the Thomas Recipe and the Amino Acids -- they will help, especially now. Now, I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you still have 2 or 3 days to go of W/D's. If you haven't used since Wednesday then you have not made it even 2 days yet -- that will happen at 4 pm today (Friday). But the good news is that you are progressing through Detox and will soon be clean. Just stay in the game --- You CAN do this -- Yea, it really su*cks, but many have done it and we know exactly where you are and what you feel like right now.
