I read up on PAWS and I'm really, really scared

by shannonhoon, Apr 26, 2009 09:05AM
I used oxycontin but was also on the fentanyl patch for 6 months for chronic pain.  I'm now taking Tylenol 3 for pain.  I abused the oxy's.  I'm showing signs of PAWS, I'm in my 3rd week of recovery and now think it's hopeless.  I can't sleep due to pain and to the withdrawal.  My emotions are all over the place, The less I sleep the worst I feel.  I'm again in huge pain and don't know what to do, I see my doctor tomorrow.  I feel like there is truly no more hope.  I suffered a serious depression 5 years ago and I'm still taking amitriptyline for it, a low dose and I also take klonopin for anxiety.  I don't think I'll ever find peace of mind again.......chronic pain causes depression, depression causes pain, I won't live like this.

There is another forum on here for chronic pain sufferers.  You may want to also visit that forum for support.  Good luck to you!
