Hi Chick,
Don't be too hard on yourself. I too have recently relapsed after being on suboxone and also going through an accelerated detox. I was clean for over year before going on Valium and Tramadol because of stress and walking away from the program that I worked so hard to help me stay clean. You know from your past experiences that you will be OK. since you have been down the suboxone road before, you know that you will go through some withdrawal, but you also know that if you don't use that you will come through the withdrawal. What worked for you before? Was the naltrexone therapy working? If so, why not go back on that after you withdrawal? Were you receiving any therapy or going to meetings? Did you have family support? Reach out, there are people who care about you. Keep posting here as well, there are some great people here with lots of experience who will support you through this. All the best.
Hi! You sound really scared? Choosing not to do methadone or suboxone will likely be the best choice to make, as some people just switch to another serious addiction with those. I certainly could have! If your body is used to going 3/4 days without heroin until the last two weeks, it might not take too long to be rid of the physical symptoms. I'd say about 3 days by what you've said. You may have some lasting insomnia. Almost everyone does. That's something that everyone hates but no one has figured out how to cure yet......at least not in the right way. You just have to wait it out. Try a walk every day. That helps sleep, anxiety and will help you rest better at night. I should exercise more than I do. There are also OTC things and natural stuff you can try for those symptoms that you're fearing.
Try not to obsess on how long it will take. Just take it an hour at a time right now. May be over before you think!!! : )
