I snorted my perscribtion meds and my chest hurts

This is my first time here and I need help.  I have been clean for over two years but for the past few months I started again with alcohol and snorting my perscribtion medication.  I want to get clean again and I have not had a drink or snorted anything for four days nor do I want to but know I have a heavyness in my chest and it feels warm from time to time.  I had been crushing and snorting Bupropion 150mg (Welbutrin).  I take this for depresssion and have been on it for over five years.  Is this going into my lungs?  Should I go to the hospital?  will this clear up.  I am scared but I don't want to go to the hospital.

Thank you all for your help.  I feel embarrassed about this.  I was so good for so long and then I did something stupid like this.  I don't have a drug problem but now I do know I have an alcohol problem.  I don't have a temp.  Its 98.7 (yesterday 97.8).  I spoke with my sister yesterday about it.  She’s an RN.  I didn’t tell her what I did but I told her about the heaviness in my chest.  She asked if I strained my self at work and I said “I don’t think so.”  She said for me to take some ibuprofen and see if it helped.  She asked other questions but I’m not going to list them all.  I did take the ibuprophen last night but I don’t think it helped.  It’s not really a pain but sort of a heaviness.  I did some research online and I guess this is uncommon but not unheard of (snorting Wilburton).  Why did I do it?  Well two years ago I had a cocaine problem.  I was introduced to it and loved it.  But I am not the type of guy to go to the corner and try to score some.  I wouldn’t even know where to go.  Thank God or I think I might have a bigger problem.  I am going to see how I feel for the rest of the day.  If this continues tomorrow I’m going to seek help.  If anybody has any Ideas of doing this DON’T.  Wilburton kills your nose when you snort it and burns your throught.  This is a stupid thing to do as are any drugs.  I still have not had a drink or anything and I pray I have the strength to get through this hump in my life.  I will let you know what happens in hopes that it might help anybody else that has this problem or is thinking of doing this.

I take wellbutrin as well but do not get high off of it...never heard of anyone abusing it before...most drugs are not inteneded to be snorted and i am sure complications could occur...anytime u have chest pain is an immediate reason to go to the er especially after something like this....wellbutrin is a derivitive of amphetamines....it could be heart related...i hope u have gone to the er by now..let us know how u r if u can

I have not got the faintest idea why you would snort wellbutrin - but that doesnt matter....I have probably snorted wierder stuff myself. Do you have a temperature along with these other symptoms? Do you have  or have access to a stethascope? You are not having a four day heart attack - Are you aware that Wellbutrin is derived from amphetamine? You may have some pnuemonia to take care of or you may be overloading on the wellbutrin by crushing it - - monitor yourself closely and get Pro help if you start to have other heart symptoms or if you do have an elevated temp............

If you have heavyness on your chest you need to go in...I have experience a heart attack don't play with this.....Also you need to be honest with them in the ER...

I would say go to the er if your chest is hurting..It may not be related to drugs at all...Can i ask you why would you snort an anti-depressant? Is that how you have been taking it the past 5 yrs? I have never taken welbutrin..or snorted anything besides cocaine. BUT.don't ignore chest pain...I hope someone else will be able to help better...

I do not know about this. It does sound like a trip to the ER is in order.
