I told him

by desperatetostop, Nov 09, 2009 07:59PM
I finally came clean with my man! he was, of course, extremely supportive. Really had no idea how much I was taking or for how long.

I asked him to help me thru the surgery in February...to help me control any pain meds they give me. I will ask for non-narcotics though.

He also suggested that I come clean with the doctor...especially since I only canceled the appointment...if I have pain and need to see him again, I need to let him know about my addiction. He's right. As of now, I can simply reschedule and get another script. I'd like to get some time away from them before going to the pain doc again though. The reality is, I really don't need to see him as my pain is manageable with tylenol and excersize! imagine that. LOL.

it felt good to tell him the truth...though he is sad that it took me 6 days to do so...well, even longer actually.

anyway...it feels good. I feel good. even with my tummy hurtin and some light chills!

also, i'm only going to take a half of ativan before bed tonight.

thanks again for all your support!

he kept saying "if you think you have a problem..." unitl I finally siad, "I DO have a problem... I go through 90 vic ES in 2 weeks!" then he realized that I have a problem.

of course he is supportive...i knew he would be, i was just scared to tell him because of dissappointing him...he actually said that the fact I started smoking again after 4 mos dissappointed him more! I'm quitting that too though and he is supportive of both.

I really do feel more free now that he knows.
