I took an ultram?

by breezly, Jan 17, 2008 10:19AM
So to day is day nine without any vics. But i was having a bad day yesterday and wanted to get some, my friend talked me out of it and gave me some ultram. He was addicted for four years and doesn't want me to end up like him, he swears there not addicting and no side affects. Anyway i feel like i cheated by taking one ultram. Did I? I was alot less anxious. Hope you guys can give me some insight. Also i have some that he gave me and told me not ti get the vics if i run out of the ultram he will give me more. I have to admit if he would not have talked me out of it i migt of went ahead and got the vics.

I'm day 9 also & was wondering about Ultram.  I don't have any but thinking about it.  When you say you were feeling bad, how?  Body ache, headache?  I have a severe headache that tylenol or BC Powder hasn't kicked in for me yet.

Tell me.  How or in what way do you feel better?

Um i do know what it is.  wanted advice not to be attacked and obviously i have a prooblem, I was buying VICODIN off the street without a script. you think i give a cap about a little Ultram?  As long as i don't take any opitaes and get back on the wrong track!! I have seen alot of people on here getting Ultram from the Docs. Anways one Ultram can't be nearly as dangerous as 5-10 vics a day for a year!!

Ultram IS addicting.  Don't let anyone tell you that it is not.  I went thru terrible withdrawels several years ago when it first came out.  So right...one isn't as bad as 5-10 vics/day, but your original post was asking for insight.  If I were you, I would not get any more of them from your friend.

Trust me IBK is not attacking you .. little itty bitty ultram is VERY addicting ,there is a seizure possibility if you take to any ...Or if you mix it with other drugs. so its like out of the frying pan into the fire ....

Please dont take ultram..I stopped getting hydro's and got ultram/trams and got hooked on those. today is day 3 without any pill (besides xaxax but my doc is seeing me every other day).  It's trading one drug for another.  I feel like **** but I have you guys, my aa group and my great hubby.  You can do this.

Thanks guys, but i have done every single drug out there. When i was thirteen this all started first with cigs then pot then drinking, pills, coke, meth, herion...by the tome i was seventeen. The two girls that i hung with were my best friends i thought we were inseperable, now that we are all grown they are both are herion addicts and they are prostitutes, seriously full blown. I have a good job at a Hospital and a Family with nice things so i know i have self control and morals. I also have additive personality I even did some of those when i was nineteen or so. I stopped everything except the pot then i got into vics again and morophine pills not heavy just like once a month or so. Then i stopped the vics and **** again, had a baby and then i had them after her and haven't stopped since. Except the last nine days. Anyways, i just think i need something to help me cope. And after all those bad drugs i've done! i don't know!!

We are in the same boat. Ive been off Vikes for 17 days now, but have used a couple Ultram for the last 3 days, and posted about it this morning. I do know that it is addicting and has dangers as IBKleen mentioned. I was in so much pain though, that I caved and used them. I justified it in my head that it was OK because at least I didnt go back to Vicodins or any other opiate.  But ultram is an opoid, which means its synthetic but still binds to the opiate receptors in your brain.  That is why just taking the few I did took me out of my WD symptoms. Completely. Im scared now that just the few I took is gonna cause me problems again. I took the last one this morning (ive had 6 pills in three days) which isnt much but I hope it doesnt send me into full blown WD again tomorrow. Good luck to you.

DO NOT TAKE ULTRAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ultrams is what im here talkin to you guys for.somebody ( a dr) told me ultrams were not addictive.well the very mcuh are.you get the smae feeling from ultrams as you do lortabs, darv, percs.do not.your just substituting one addicting drug for another.if you ever listened to anyone at all(and obviously you did the guy who gave it to you) listen to me.ITS HIGHLY ADDICTIVE!!!!! if you wanna get of pills do not take ultram.

I back up what jbmac says - 100 TIMES OVER.  I'm sitting her in the middle of the night while I W/D from Trams becuase now way am I going to sleep.  It's a nightmare to get off.  Ultram, Ultracet, Tramadol (all the same) should be scheduled drugs.

Do not take Ultram/Tramadol/Ultracet!!!!!!!!!  They are an EVIL drug and harder to get off of than many other narcotic pills.  They contain not only a synthetic opiate but also antidepressant properties.  They are HIGHLY addicting and will only prolong your withdrawals from your DOC.
There are many people on this sight suffering from Tramadol addiction who have gone through weeks of withdrawal.  It won't be long before this drug is reclassified.
Try the amino acid protocol found on the health pages below.  You can take a lot of vitamins and supplements that can REALLY help you withdrawal easier.
