I want to feel better

What works best to make your stomach feel better when coming off loretabs for three years? I've been reading people say they have gone through withdrawls for 5 or 6 days. I'm only on day three and it's going to be a long week at this point. Please help

Alka-seltzer is great for calming the stomach and helps with overall body aches too.

Hi there!

Day three is the toughest, so hang in you are doing AWESOME!  Just tell yourself you've got a real bad flu, and you will start to feel better from here on out.  The Immodium and lots of fluid is good for the tummy, and the thing that helped me the most was eating.  Small amounts of whatever you can handle regularly.  Toast with PB, chicken broth, and crackers are what helped me.  Drink lots of fluid- peppermint and chamomile tea were easiest on my tummy and had a relaxing effect.  I know this is a rough road, but believe me when I say it is so worth it!  Be kind and gentle with yourself and be PROUD of yourself!

Congrats on day 3 we are in same  boat. I am having same issue hard to make stomach pain But Immodium helps with The Bathroom trips but i still have stomach ache I have only been able to suck on peppermint candy canes Its a lil relief are you able to keep fluids down ? try Gingeraile Water lots of water keep strong and keep posting!

Hi,congrats on day 3.Withdrawals can typically last 3 to 5 days we are all different in what symptoms and how severe we get them.You are close to being over the worst physical withdrawals.Make sure you keep hydrated,protein shakes,potassium  for restless legs,try and exercise as much as possible no matter how little.Immodium for stomach problems.Lack of energy is a lingering problem for many,this is normal and can be helped by fluids,proteins, eating healthy,a little exercise.After day 3 it shouldn't be too long that you will notice improvement day by day.Again congrats and take care

Hi,
I hear you...this is how it felt to me too. The things that helped were going out in the sunshine for walks. Also, Hylands for restless legs and amino acid energy shakes. I am on day 31, the physical symptoms are long gone. And can I say what a great choice it was to stop putting the crap into my body. I had been under a dark cloud from opiates and my work had suffered. The further along you get the better after the first 6 days of course.
