I'm a meth user only by injection an I am now pregnant an idk what to do?

What steps due I need to be taking?  Is it okay to use like once a months or something during my pregnancy? What harm could be done if light drug usage occurs? Should I be scared?

Yes, you can do harm to your unborn child using meth, even intraveineously. (I'm sure I butchered that word)....Even light use of meth during pregnancy can cause damage.  I know that people on heroin are usually switched to subutext when they find out their pregnant.  Is it possible that subutext will work for meth, this I'm not sure.  It's a stablizing drug used to ween people off of heroin.  IMO....if your planning to keep this child, you need to be completely honest with your OB...together, you can come up with a game plan as to what is best for the child and you.  I know its hard also....I know where my fear level would be in this situation however, it really is the best choice all the way around.  Most OB's have heard this before, you won't be the first or the last....but the OB does have to know how much courage it took you to tell them, so keep that in mind when talking to them.
Good luck to you...
